While any Project Builder & Library user with tagging privileges can create a tag or edit or delete it on a single product, only Account Admins can manage the full set of tags available throughout the subscription.
The Tags page lets Admins create, edit or delete tags that users with tagging privileges can add to products in Projects and Favorite Product Libraries.
Creating tags
You can create an unlimited number of tags. Tag names are limited to 40 characters.
- In the form field at the top of the screen, enter the tag name.
- Click on the color swatch next to the form field to load a color palette and choose a color. You can choose any color, including the ones for Good, Better and Best.
- Click Save to save the new tag, which will now be available for everyone with tagging privileges to use.
Editing tags
You can edit tags to change their text and/or color throughout your Project Builder & Library subscription.
- Find the tag you want to edit by using the filter above the table or scrolling through the list of tags.
- Click into the tag name and edit it, or click on the tag color to change it.
- Click anywhere outside the tag name field or tag color popup to automatically save changes to the tag.
You can also change tag colors in bulk – for example, if you decide that all tags of a certain category should be the same color.
- Find the tags you want to edit by using the filter above the table or scrolling through the list of tags.
- Select the tags by checking the box next to their names. Checking any box will automatically activate the Actions pulldown menu at upper right above the table.
- From the Actions menu, select Change color.
- A popup will load asking you to pick the new color for the list of tags below. [insert screenshot]
- Click Save to save the new color for all selected tags, or Cancel to cancel and close the popup.
Deleting tags
You can delete tags one at a time or in bulk. Deleting them from the Tags page will delete them from all products using that tag throughout your Project Builder & Library subscription.
- Find the tag or tags you want to delete by using the filter above the table or scrolling through the list of tags.
- Select the tag(s) by checking the box next to their name. Checking any box will automatically activate the Actions pulldown menu at upper right above the table.
- From the Actions menu, select Delete.
- A popup will load asking you to confirm you want to delete the tag(s) below.
- Click Delete to delete the tag(s), or Cancel to cancel and close the popup.
You can also delete a tag from a set of products rather than deleting the tag entirely.
- From the Tags page, click on the number of products for that tag to open its tag detail page.
- Select the products from which you want to delete the tag. Checking any box will automatically activate the Actions pulldown menu at upper right above the table.
- From the Actions menu, select Delete current tag.
- A popup will load asking you to confirm you want to delete the tag(s) below.
- Click Delete to delete the tag from the product(s), or Cancel to cancel and close the popup.
